Triad/Metaphor/Riddle | Master Owen Alun | Three fundamental tools from the Bardic Toolbox. Where they come from, how they relate to each other, and to the way we think. Chaucerian Poetry Construction | Thomas of Shrewsbury | Learn to understand the mindset of Chaucer’s England by crafting some "Rime Royals" in Middle English. Poetry Workshop | Lady Ingeborg Ulfsdottir | Bring your works-in-progress for peer (not Peer) review. Having trouble with phrasing in one particular spot? Rhyme or meter giving you problems? Need a test audience? Or maybe you're having difficulty getting started, and want to sound out other poets for ideas. If you've got an open mind and a penchant for word-craft, come play with us! |
Voice: Care, Projection & Maintenance | Lord Corwyn MacCamie | Learn all the tricks of the trade to maximize, strengthen and use your voice correctly for singing, storytelling and public speaking. |
Bardic Field Guide to Venues and Arenas | Master Owen Alun | A discussion of the different types of venues and arenas for performance, identifying characteristics, typical markings and behaviors, understanding their natural range, perferred habitats, and methods of finding, attracting, encouraging and organizing them, also what types of performances to feed them, and how to successfully interact with them. While this discussion will focus on the bardic arts as a primary topic, we will also discuss similarities and differences of other species of performance. |
